What does Kim's Cozy Campers expect from their Renters?

We expect our property to be respected. This includes cleaning up after yourself, not damaging our rentals, not being irresponsible, and using EXTRA caution. Campers are not built as sturdy as homes. Also, if you do not understand a particular rule or requirement then ask for help BEFORE you break something.

See the bottom of our FORMS page for more detailed information.

To put it more simply - EVERY Rental should be returned to us in the condition we gave it to you in or you will not receive your security deposit back.

How far ahead should I book my rental?

The sooner the better. During spring, summer, fall and holiday weekends our schedule fills up quickly. Also, you will most likely find a better deal booking in advance than booking last minute (with us and any campground you contact!).

Can check in and check out times vary?

Yes, they can! Our standard Check in/pick up arrival time is 3:00 PM and our standard check out/drop off departure time is 11:00 AM. You can guarantee a time change to your needs by prepaying for early check in or late check out. If you do not secure a time, we will adjust the schedule depending on how many deliveries/pick ups we have on both your arrival day and departure day.

Am I required to purchase insurance coverage from Kim's Cozy Campers?

First: We don't sell insurance.

Second: No, you are not required to purchase additional coverage through our insurance company (MBA Insurance). However, that means that ONLY the rental is covered. If you destroy personal property or harm another individual while operating our rental, you will be liable 100% for the damage. You also have the option to check with your insurance company to see if they will extend coverage to our rental. See our INSURANCE page for more details.

We STRONGLY suggest purchasing the supplemental insurance coverage through MBA insurance, IF you are picking up a camper.

Those who choose delivery DO NOT need supplemental insurance.

What is your Protection Fee?

The Protection Fee is a very minimal fee to cover basic insurance for your rental, reasonable roadside assistance, and 24/7 tech support.

What is the amount of the security deposit?

The security deposit will be $1000 to $5000, depending on the rental chosen and the add-ons purchased. It is not a charged on your credit card. It is a pending hold until we remove it or 7 days has passed from your rental date (whichever comes first).

Security Deposits vary for every situation. If you have pets, little towing experience, renting a generator, festival/event usage, etc., your security deposit increases from the standard.

What is expected of us as renters to get the full security deposit back?

Please review our TERMS & Conditions for more information. If you have any questions afterwards, please contact us.

What is the credit card surcharge fee?

We charge a 3% credit card processing fee if you choose to pay by credit card. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, then we will credit the 3% fee back to you after you confirmed your booking. IF you choose PayPal, the PayPal transaction fee will be deducted from your security deposit prior to releasing the Hold.

Is it possible to travel in the winter in the colder areas?

Yes, however, our trailers are “winterized” from approximately mid-October to late March. This means we have completely drained the water and holding tanks. This will prevent the tanks and pipes from freezing and bursting. If you chose to have your rental trailer “de-winterized” (so that you can use your sink, shower, and toilet) it will cost $100. You will need to exercise extreme care while traveling in a “de-winterized” trailer during frigid weather. You will need to run the heater at all times to protect the tanks and pipes from freeze damage, or in extreme cases you would need to put RV Anti-Freeze in the water and holding tanks (by doing so, you may not use any water systems). If the pipes or tanks were damaged from freezing, it is considered negligent damage and you will be responsible for the full cost of all repairs. If you have any more questions on the rental policies during winter, please contact us.

Can we bring a pet?

YES you can. we have a max of two pets allowed in each of our rental. Whether you have a service dog, support animal or regular family pet, there is an additional fee. It is $150 per pet. The term pet refers to any animal, reptile, mammal, arachnid, rodent, (ANY TYPE of non-human being) etc. We have to complete a deeper clean in a rental with pets for those who have pet danger allergies or sensitivities. IF you choose to bring a pet and not inform us, we will withdrawal the fee from your security deposit before returning it to you.

What is included in the rental?

Most of our rentals have a Keurig, all dinnerware, cookware, kitchenware (plates, regular and coffee cups, bowls, utensils, pots and pans, knives, spatulas, peelers, slicers, scissors, etc.), toaster, ice cube trays, salt, pepper, towels, wash cloths, hand towels, sheets, pillows, extra blankets, dish soaps, hand soaps, paper towels, garbage bags, tin foil, special rv toilet paper, toilet deodorizers, games/coloring books for children, Smart TV, portable fans, flashlights, cleaning supplies, first aid kit, 6 Foot table, outdoor grill with use of (1) 1 Lb. propane tank, lights around awning, outdoor mat, camping chairs, etc. Additionally, we supply every set-up with a coffee station with coffee, tea, hot cocoa, sugar, and creamer. Either! If you handle the dumping/sanitizing of the tanks and cleaning of the hoses then you will not be charged an additional fee. If this option is not possible, Kim's Cozy Campers will take care of this for you for an additional fee. Please choose the pertinent "Dump Fee" add-on at check out.

What is the Prep/Sanitize fee for?

The Prep/Sanitize Fee includes vehicle prep, operational walkthrough, sanitize interior, first tank propane refill, toilet paper and septic chemicals. This fee is NOT to clean up after guests or clean large messes (mud/excessive dirt, coffee/juice spills, pet messes, etc.) If the rental is NOT returned in the same condition it was received, a fee will be assessed and deducted from your security deposit.

Do the rentals have heat and A/C?

YES, they do! Each rental unit we have has Propane forced hot air heat and electric (30 AMP electrical service required) air conditioning. Each rental is equipped with (2) full propane tanks on the front of the rental. We allow one full propane tank to be used with each rental. If the second propane tank is used an additional fee will apply.

NOTE: The Cozy Carefree Popper does NOT have A/C at this time. However, it does have heat.

Can I rent a camper if I am inexperience and never towed one before?

We do not allow our rentals to be picked up by inexperienced renters who have never towed anything. If you would like to rent a camper but are inexperienced, please choose delivery to ensure our rentals remain damage free. Upon arrival to the rental you chose, you will be given a full orientation on all functions. We will also provide you with a manual created specifically for the rental you have.

When picking up the rental, do we have to park it at a campground?

We recommend camping at campgrounds as they are sager and offer the basic necessities required for humans. However, we leave it to your discretion where you would like to camp. As long as there are no signs prohibiting camping or overnight parking you are likely okay to stay there at your own risk. Remember that our rentals are not to be taken on off road trails. Extremely bumpy/ uneven terrains can harm the mechanics inside the rental. If any of these items are not working when the rental is returned and there is evidence of unusual activity, you will incur a fee to repair.

Does Kim's Cozy Campers reserve our campground for us?

Not at this time. We can offer recommendations for you in our area based on your needs and preferences. After you have reserved your campsite, we will be happy to help you reserve one of our rentals that will suit your family perfectly.

Can Kim's Cozy Campers help us plan our trip?

We are happy to provide local tips and advice at pick up, along with our very own “Lake Wallenpaupack” Guide located in our Guidebook in every rental. The guidebook is packed with useful information, from full rental manual to trip itinerary ideas, check lists, copies of all forms you signed prior to departure and much more!

Do you recommend reserving campsites ahead of time?

Absolutely. From May through October many campgrounds book up very quickly. All of the National Parks and some State Parks leave a small section open for first come first serve campers, but this will not guarantee you a spot. We suggest to all of our renters to reserve campsites before reserving a rental. Please visit our CAMPGROUNDS for more local campground information.

Do you offer airport or hotel pick up/drop off?

Absolutely! If you are flying in or staying at another location and need help getting to your rental, please let us know where you would like to be picked up from and we will chauffer you to your cozy rental already set-up. This may be an additional fee.

Do you buy or sell campers?

We do not sell our rentals at this time. However, if you are looking to sell your pop-up, expandable, travel trailer, pod, 5th wheel, Class C, please feel free to contact us as we are always looking to expand our fleet. Your RV will need to be free of any soft spots. leaks or any major repairs. All mechanical, plumbing, electrical, etc. needs to work properly. OR check out our CONSIGNMENT PROGRAM and let your RV earn you money!

Do you have spots for us to park our RV and camp at your location?

YES! We offer stationary rentals to those who want a more serene, less crowded camping experience. You will have water, electric Wi-Fi with active streaming services on a Smart TV, a large fire pit, trampoline, huge yard, playground, sand box and much more to enjoy! Note: Only provide one stationary rental at a time AND our home is located on the property.
